Our obedience classes are going well in all three schools - Dawlish, Exeter, and Shobrooke (near Crediton). In fact we had so much interest in Dawlish that we have created two beginners classes as there were too many newcomers for one class. Each of the schools also has an Intermediate class running, a continuation from the beginners of last term. It's always good to see the dogs come back to us and progress with the exercises.
We have started agility classes just outside of Dawlish - Duckaller Farm is about half a mile up Port Road. These are being held on Monday evenings at 6.00pm and 7.00pm. We had a lot of fun with the basic obstacles - small jumps, weave poles, pause mats, tunnels, and a sea-saw, and the new long jump is proving to be great fun as we can adapt it easily to the size of the dog using it. We have had to cancel this weeks class owing to bad weather coming into the area on the Monday night. However, we shall make up for it with an extra evening at the end of the term.
Our trainee instructor in Dawlish, Rosie Sanderson, is making bespoke collars and leads that are very robust but soft for your dog's comfort. If you would like to know more please contact her directly on firstname.lastname@example.org .
